Alan joined Daylesford Rotary Club on 3rd April 2002.
A remarkable 24 years of community service to our club.
Alan was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow, Rotary’s highest honour,
in 2014 , for his contribution to his community in Hepburn Shire.
Alan was also honoured with two Bing Baker awards in 2013
and 2025. This award is for recognition of outstanding club
commitment for these two occasions and is awarded annually in
memory of Past President Bing Baker since 1991/92 .
Alan had been club treasurer from 2010 to 2024 a huge effort.
Alan was on duty for the entire Rotary Art Show to receive sales
and pay out to artists, for many years, along with normal
club activities.
Another of Alan’s ritual was the bbq organiser for the Rotary
Farmer’s Markets each month and the many BBQs held for
fundraising activities. This entailed buying and preparing all
the materials used in the BBQs.
Alan will be surely missed with his personality and the
reliability to be present , when fundraising activities were
conducted by our club. Vale Alan, upholding the ideals
